The Beastie
I have always loved the name Natalie, but not really the nickname Nat. So we were on a mission to find a good nickname. During the first week at home, every time you cried, we'd go "soothe the savage beast" meaning you. It was quickly shortened to the beastie and it unfortunately stuck. Daddy has decided that we can't call you the beastie anymore. But we really don't have a good nickname...and Natalie seems so long for such a little baby. Thoughts?

Three Months
You are three months today and it is also mommy's birthday. This has been such a amazing month. You had your first weekend getaway spending two nights with Nana and Poppy and two nights with Grandma and Aunt Amanda. You did great, sleeping through the night for Grandma. Sleeping has been getting more scheduled still, and the nights have been good. You are starting to "talk" and babble. You say "gaga" a lot now. Changing your diaper has become fun because you just sit there and smile and laugh. When I check on you in the morning, you are smiling away in your crib telling the mobile butterflies stories. You are so social and smile for everyone. We are looking forward to the next milestone of sitting upright. You are close in the Bumbo chair, but not quite.
We love you so much, little girl and are loving every minute of being your parents.

New Year's 2008
This is the third year we have gone up to the wine country for New Year's. There were at most 17 people here this year and at no time were we under 12. We steamed crab, drank champagne and played apples to apples. You were a great baby, and got passed around to everyone.
We went to our favorite winery- Lancaster. There you are in the front pack. And then we went to Keenan Winery and posed you next to the Chardonnay with your "I'll Take A Bottle of the House White" bib from Jer and Elizabeth.
Lastly, we went to Marsten Family Winery where you met Tucker, the puppy. You are both 10 weeks old. How Cute!
